THE POLAR ICE ULTRA
Join us March 16-20, 2025 on the frozen Bothnian Bay for a speed skating event hosted by the city of Kemi in Lapland, Finland.
All ice speed skaters, professional and amateur, looking for the next big challenge are invited to race for a chance to win €10,000.
A unique opportunity to experience skating on the polar sea ice bordering Finland and Sweden. Enjoy the archipelago with scenic views of both land and ice.
The POLAR ICE ULTRA is presented by Snowshine Sports. Home of the Shiner backpack. The heavy duty skate backpack created for the elements and designed for your everyday adventures.

Course loop is subject to change. Course to be determined based on optimal ice conditions.
RACES
MARCH 16 - 20, 2025
The 10k loop race course will be constructed on the frozen sea on Bothnian Bay in Lapland, Finland. Race the competition in an icy landscape under the Arctic sun.
With multiple races to choose from, you’ll find the perfect challenge. Race with professional speed skaters in the 200k Ultra Distance Race for a chance to win €10,000.
